DVM or equivalent degree, Board-certification or board eligible in Large Animal discipline, Postgraduate clinical experience if not board-certified, Large animal rotating internship or academic clinical instructor experience
About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction to veterinary students, graduate students, interns, and graduate veterinarians
- Engage in creative scholarship and collaborative research activities within Large Animal/Food Animal Practice
- Deliver clinical services through the Large Animal Teaching Hospital and ambulatory/field services
- Participate in after-hours and on-call emergency duty
- Develop innovative teaching and service programs
- Build professional relationships with referring veterinarians and participate in state and national outreach and continuing education
- Serve on college and university committees
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Board-certification or board eligibility in a Large Animal-related discipline
- If not board-certified or board eligible, must have three to four years of postgraduate clinical experience, including a large animal rotating internship and/or academic clinical instructor experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience in medical and surgical management across various large animal species
