Professor in Exercise Science

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous individual and collaborative research that advances exercise science scholarship
• Pursue external funding opportunities aligned with research expertise
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in exercise science
• Mentor graduate students and support their academic development
• Provide service to the department, college, university, and the broader profession
• Engage actively with relevant scholarly communities and related industries
• Collaborate with academic units across the university to foster interdisciplinary scholarship

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Health & Human Performance, or a related field
• Demonstrated research productivity and scholarly impact appropriate to the applied rank
• Demonstrated ability (or potential for Assistant Professor candidates) to secure external research funding

Preferred Qualifications

• Research agenda focusing on athletic populations (e.g., athlete health, performance, strength and conditioning, sport science, or nutrition)
• Potential to collaborate across other Falk College departments such as Nutrition, Sport Analytics, or Sport Management
• Established or potential for strong industry partnerships
