Professor in Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and data science, including programming, machine learning, big data, and statistical modeling
• Conduct original research in computer science, data science, or related fields
• Actively pursue external funding through grantsmanship and research proposals
• Advise and mentor students within the growing PhD program
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed academic journals and present at national and international conferences
• Participate in departmental service and university committees

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field (must be completed by the start date)
• Expertise in one or more specialized areas such as Cybersecurity, AI, Machine Learning, Big Data, or Data Engineering
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
• Demonstrated excellence in research and ability to secure external funding

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of effective teaching and commitment to high-quality instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration with industry or government partners
• Proven track record of successful grantsmanship
