About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers and account teams to understand business objectives and technical requirements
  • Lead scoping sessions, discovery workshops, and solution discussions to recommend service offerings
  • Develop and present professional services proposals, pricing, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to ensure successful engagement execution
  • Support the commercial sales process by guiding customers through pricing and contractual terms
  • Drive Professional Services bookings and margin targets through accurate forecasting
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Account Executives and Customer Success teams
  • Translate customer requirements into detailed implementation plans
  • Create enablement content to educate internal teams on Professional Services capabilities
  • Occasionally lead implementation engagements for core Harness modules like CI/CD and IaC

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, professional services, or solutions consulting within DevOps or cloud ecosystems
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager or technical lead in software engineering or DevOps
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud-native technologies
  • Proven ability to consult on technical transformation initiatives
  • Experience scoping complex technical engagements and authoring Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Demonstrated success in positioning and selling professional services
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and sales operations tools
  • Customer-first mindset and strong business acumen
