Professional Scientist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples using Agilent GC and GC-MS instrumentation
• Review data for client release and ensure all work meets calibration and QA requirements
• Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and assist with the development of new methods
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow SOPs and methodologies without deviation
• Collaborate with other analysts and technicians to meet turnaround times
• Assist with the preparation of analytical standards, reagents, and solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field
• 1+ years of laboratory experience preferred
• Proficiency in Agilent GC and GC-MS instrumentation
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage high sample volumes under pressure
