Professional Development School (PDS) Liaison

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key connector between Manhattanville University and partner schools within the PDS network
• Coordinate clinical sites for teacher candidates to fulfill practicum, field observation, and supervised teaching requirements
• Supervise teacher candidates placed within the PDS for field experiences
• Lead and coordinate at least two professional development or collaborative events per academic year
• Identify professional development interests among teachers and coordinate with university faculty to address them
• Develop and implement assessments of the PDS in collaboration with university and school administrators
• Collect data regarding PDS progress and complete monthly, semesterly, and annual reports

Requirements

• Master’s degree in education
• Teaching certification in elementary, secondary, or special education
• Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
• Experience teaching diverse populations of children or youth
• Availability to work during school day hours
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience
