About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department and practice group leaders to identify and address attorney development needs
- Design and implement department training curricula and experience benchmarks
- Provide coaching and advising for associates on career development and success strategies
- Oversee designated department mentoring programs and facilitate mentor-mentee pairings
- Manage attorney feedback and review processes, including mid-year and annual reviews
- Track attorney strengths and skill gaps to drive professional development planning
- Collaborate with Business Development, Legal Recruiting, and DE&I teams on engagement initiatives
- Monitor external trends in attorney career paths, staffing, and training
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional development or training experience within the legal industry or professional services
- BA/BS degree required
- Excellent interpersonal, team, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours as needed
- Ability to travel to other office locations
Preferred Qualifications
- JD degree
- MS in Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
