About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support, including managing attorney inboxes, updating calendars, and routing internal and external mail.
- Manage client matter files and folders, ensuring compliance with firm policies for both electronic (iManage) and hardcopy records.
- Coordinate with attorneys to ensure all electronic materials, such as emails and documents, are correctly stored in document management systems.
- Create, proofread, and edit complex legal documents, letters, and standard memoranda.
- Perform document cleanup and apply specific document styles in accordance with firm standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of legal secretarial experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF software.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a large volume of work under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including high-quality spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree.
- Prior experience working within a law firm.
- Proficiency in iManage or other document management software.
- Experience with accounting software and interpreting client accounting reports.
