Production Worker/Buffer

Responsibilities

• Perform sanding, buffing, polishing, and finishing support work on Gretsch guitar bodies, necks, and assembled instruments
• Inspect parts and instruments to identify cosmetic defects, surface imperfections, or finish issues
• Safely handle, move, and stage guitars and related components between work areas
• Read and follow work instructions, production priorities, and spec sheets
• Use assigned tools, equipment, and compounds safely according to production standards
• Partner with Leads, Builders, and Quality team members to support daily priorities
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S and PPE expectations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior manufacturing, production, sanding, buffing, polishing, or assembly experience preferred
• Ability to identify basic guitar components such as bodies, necks, hardware, and pickups
• Strong attention to detail for identifying cosmetic defects
• Ability to follow safety procedures and verbal direction
• Ability to safely lift and handle delicate guitar components
• Reliable attendance and teamwork skills
