Production Technician - Extrusion

Responsibilities

• Supply, operate, clean, and maintain tubing cutters and extruders to meet manufacturing specifications
• Acquire and transport extruder blends using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT)
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including machine adjustments, part replacement, and lubrication
• Conduct scheduled quality checks using various machinery and handheld measurement devices
• Document batch information and manage production data using the computerized Production Operating Management System (POMS)
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following 6S principles and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Identify and report any safety, quality, or mechanical discrepancies to supervisors immediately

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• CRC (Career Readiness Certification) Silver level
• Previous manufacturing experience, including machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Proficiency with measurement tools and basic hand tools
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and utilize basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical requirements for bending, stooping, and climbing
• Ability to pass a Powered Industrial Truck (P.I.T.) physical
