Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Build a variety of electromechanical parts and assemblies according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement
• Use various mechanical and precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions
• Operate production, testing, and high-powered magnet equipment
• Identify product problems and make clear recommendations to improve processes

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalency certificate, or higher
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly
• Minimum of 6 years of experience using various hand tools
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform physical activities such as stooping, standing, or sitting for extended periods
• Willingness to work second shift (2:30 pm - 11:30 pm) and occasional nights, weekends, or on-call shifts
• Dedication to safety in environments involving heat, cold, noise, strong magnets, and high voltage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with winding equipment, PLC, or material processing
• Experience working with cryogenic chemicals (LN2 and Helium) in a controlled environment
• Proficiency with vacuum systems, plumbing, or soldering
• Experience with epoxy potting, injection molding, or harness builds/wiring
• Ability to read electrical schematics
