Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Build a variety of electromechanical parts and assemblies according to procedures and specifications
• Perform production builds, testing, and monitoring of manufacturing processes for superconducting magnets
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement
• Use precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions
• Operate production, testing, and high-powered magnet equipment
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality departments to meet production goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years of electromechanical assembly experience
• 6+ years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience
• Proficiency with various hand tools and precision calibrated instruments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing or sitting for extended periods
• Dedication to safety in an environment involving heat, cold, noise, high voltage, and cryogenics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with winding equipment, PLC, or material processing
• Experience working with cryogenic chemicals (LN2 and Helium) or vacuum systems
• Skills in soldering, harness builds, wiring, or electrical schematics
• Experience with epoxy potting, injection molding, or plumbing
