Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, and company policies
• Identify potential maintenance needs and enter them into the Maximo work order system
• Perform work in compliance with standard operating procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and confined space entry
• Ensure contractors and visitors comply with company safety protocols
• Acquire technical knowledge of plant processes, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with retention policies
• Perform operator rounds, water sampling, truck loading, and preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organizational cleanliness

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of technical training or operations experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems
• Ability to work shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in non-conditioned environments
• Ability to wear required PPE and work on elevated platforms or in confined spaces
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and basic math operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Associate's degree
• Qualification in the operation of forklifts, man lifts, or overhead cranes
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA/FDA regulations
