Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant production, operating efficiency, regulatory compliance, and safety.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and utilize Life Safety Training skills, including safe work permits and energy control isolation.
• Identify potential maintenance needs and enter work orders into the Maximo management system.
• Perform operator rounds, water sampling, truck loading, and operations preventative maintenance.
• Partner with contractors and co-workers to ensure compliance with company safety policies and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with retention policies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift work (Monday - Friday schedule).
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders or work on elevated platforms.
• Ability to wear required PPE and work in non-conditioned environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Associate's degree.
• 2+ years of technical training or industrial operations experience.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Process Safety Management (PSM) or EPA regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or overhead cranes.
