About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain plant production, operating efficiency, regulatory compliance, and safety.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and utilize Life Safety Training skills, including safe work permits and energy control isolation.
- Identify potential maintenance needs and enter work orders into the Maximo management system.
- Perform operator rounds, water sampling, truck loading, and operations preventative maintenance.
- Partner with contractors and co-workers to ensure compliance with company safety policies and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with retention policies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift work (Monday - Friday schedule).
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders or work on elevated platforms.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work in non-conditioned environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Associate's degree.
- 2+ years of technical training or industrial operations experience.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Process Safety Management (PSM) or EPA regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or overhead cranes.
