Production Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct work activities for the 2nd shift production team
• Monitor and enforce safety practices, including PPE usage and machine guarding
• Ensure quality standards are met and maintain 5S standards in the work area
• Assign, prioritize, and direct tasks based on operational needs
• Support Lean and Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement
• Motivate, coach, and mentor team members to achieve peak performance
• Develop and implement cross-training programs to enhance team flexibility
• Report equipment, personnel, and process issues to the Department Supervisor
• Facilitate communication within the department and with other business units

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of production or manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain schedule flexibility, including overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Experience with production scheduling and tracking KPIs
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
