Production Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct work activities for the 2nd shift production team
• Monitor and enforce safety practices, including PPE usage and machine guarding
• Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the shift
• Assign, prioritize, and direct tasks based on operational needs
• Support Lean and Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement
• Conduct monthly safety discussions and provide coaching to team members
• Maintain 5S standards in the work area daily
• Report equipment, personnel, and process issues to the Department Supervisor
• Facilitate communication between departments and serve as backup to the Supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of production or manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with production scheduling and tracking KPIs
