Production Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical and electrical engineering and routine maintenance tasks
• Attend to and rectify factory machinery breakdowns following health, safety, and hygiene best practices
• Conduct fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime and availability
• Follow and improve monthly PPM schedules
• Maintain accurate records for all activities and spares used or requested
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Degree level qualification or equivalent
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve mechanical and/or electrical faults
• Strong communication and prioritization skills
• Ability to work using own initiative

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting electrical control panels
• Experience working with inverters and PLC systems
• Experience conducting effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Experience developing effective PPMs
• Background working within FMCG or fresh food manufacturing environments
