Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team of direct labor associates in the manufacture and assembly of custom fire and rescue vehicles.
• Manage daily assignments to meet production schedules, cycle time requirements, and cost targets.
• Ensure all quality, regulatory, and ISO requirements are met, including the authority to stop production if necessary.
• Maintain departmental safety and environmental compliance by enforcing OSHA and company policies.
• Provide technical expertise to assist operators with troubleshooting and complex assembly problem resolution.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, including 5S, Standard Work, and Kaizen events.
• Manage employee training, development, and departmental skill matrices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Practical experience in electrical, mechanical, welding, and metal fabrication.
• Proven experience in vehicle production or a custom manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, NFPA, or DOT.
• Excellent communication, team building, and conflict resolution skills.
