Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the metal fabrication department and the Quality Department to ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met
• Manage daily assignments of hourly personnel to meet schedule commitments and cycle time requirements
• Oversee the selection, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance coaching of new and existing employees
• Ensure departmental compliance with company policies, attendance records, and regulatory requirements
• Review all work within the department to ensure technical accuracy meets engineering designs and customer requirements
• Provide technical expertise for problem resolution and coordinate with Materials, Engineering, and Sales departments
• Maintain equipment and tooling in coordination with the Maintenance department

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and manufacturing equipment processes
• Proven supervisory experience leading teams in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, or machine shop setting
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong understanding of OSHA and EPA standards
• Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-year college degree
• Five or more years of experience in vehicle production or custom manufacturing environments
• Understanding and application of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
