Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead machinery setup and changeover activity
• Monitor production activity to ensure compliance with standard work instructions and quality specifications
• Audit process control plans and production information within the ERP system
• Manage department scheduling and production documentation
• Review unplanned scrap to identify root causes and implement countermeasures
• Oversee professional development and periodic evaluations of direct reports
• Champion safety programs and coordinate statutory training
• Promote Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
• Assist in the development of visual factory tools

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (Metal stamping, fabrication, or fastener manufacturing preferred)
• Experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Mechanical aptitude and machinery troubleshooting experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of supervisory experience
