About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across Chemical Coating, Composite Bonding, and Finishing to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Assign work orders, prioritize tasks, and optimize workforce efficiency to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Monitor key performance metrics including productivity, efficiency, and quality to resolve bottlenecks.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to operators to ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Manage employee performance, including hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing tools such as 5S and Kaizen.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of manufacturing management experience supervising direct reports.
- Expertise in Paint processes (required).
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work).
- Experience using ERP systems for tracking work orders, materials, and inventory.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with FAA, ITAR, and AS9100 standards.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Experience with Composite bonding.
