Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide safety-focused leadership to oversee daily production operations and ensure efficient, high-quality manufacture.
• Direct, supervise, and monitor operator activities to accomplish daily production goals and HSE, quality, and delivery metrics.
• Comply with all ESH and Quality procedures, ensuring the Oerlikon Five Golden Rules of Safety are followed at all times.
• Write, review, and approve job hazard analyses, risk assessments, work instructions, and procedures.
• Manage personnel tasks including onboarding, mentoring, conducting performance reviews, and coordinating production schedules.
• Investigate and resolve problems affecting safety, quality, and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement in procedures and equipment for safety, quality, and lean behaviors.
• Represent site management during off-shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work night shifts and oversee 12-hour shift operations.
• Ability to safely operate cranes and powered industrial vehicles (with training).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and bending.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a foundry or chemical environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience using ERP systems.
