Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite production workflows
• Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and customer expectations
• Hire, train, develop, mentor, and counsel staff according to HR policies
• Control and minimize labor overtime while enforcing company policy compliance
• Evaluate current processes and standardize procedures to improve worker efficiency
• Ensure a safe work environment with a "Safety First" focus to prevent lost-time incidents
• Maintain shop floor organization and plant cleanliness using 5S principles
• Report daily production output and detailed notes regarding operational issues
• Monitor facility attendance to ensure employees are at workstations for startup, breaks, and lunch

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 3 years of manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or material management experience
• 3 years of experience supervising large staff, including hiring and performance appraisals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience working in ERP systems (Sage experience is a plus)
• Forklift experience or certification
• Knowledge of raw materials planning and production scheduling processes
