Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, mentor and support a team of associates to safely accomplish production and quality objectives
• Promote area standards for safety, housekeeping, punctuality, and work performance
• Administer timekeeping and payroll responsibilities
• Improve area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and continuous improvement
• Interface with area leadership and engineering teams to prioritize work based on production schedules
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
• Support issue resolution including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking
• Identify and eliminate defects within the area value stream
• Reduce downtime for product and personnel
• Support efforts to transition product from engineering development to full-rate production

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or higher degree
• Minimum 3 years experience in a high-volume production environment
• Minimum 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods and perform physical tasks like stooping, twisting, and bending
• Ability to utilize PPE including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes for up to 12 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, or 6-Sigma principles
• Experience in powder handling, chemical batch processing, mixing, roll winding, and conveyance
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
