Production Supervisor II

Responsibilities

• Supervise front-line employees in a chemical/reagent manufacturing or instrument assembly environment
• Hire, train, coach, and manage a large production team of instrument assemblers and technicians
• Manage production schedules, quality standards, production yields, scrap targets, and safety metrics
• Drive lean manufacturing implementation and lead Kaizen or Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis teams and support with data analysis and presentations
• Monitor employee performance, prepare reviews, and assist with career development goals
• Provide technical and process guidance to resolve production problems
• Prepare operating procedures and assist with establishing annual budgets and expense tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field
• 5+ years of manufacturing production experience or 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a regulated environment
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, including FDA, GMP, and ISO
• Experience with new product introduction, process scale-up, and product transfers
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles
