About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute safety, food safety, environmental compliance, and quality protocols
- Conduct accident, incident, and near-miss investigations
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and PPE requirements
- Serve as Incident Commander (IC) and active member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
- Manage daily communication between operators and management
- Coach, teach, and mentor employees through performance evaluations and daily feedback
- Oversee employee training completion and identify additional training needs
- Collaborate with EH&S, warehouse, and customer service departments to implement improvements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Availability for Friday-Sunday shift with alternating Thursdays (6am-6:30pm)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, technology, or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience
