Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and monitor the overall operation of production department lines
• Supervise a team of up to 35 employees, including scheduling work assignments and managing vacations
• Ensure all processing activities conform to product specifications and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Verify production parameters remain within the planned budget and ensure payroll accuracy
• Assess employee training needs, provide instruction, and maintain documented training records
• Conduct monthly safety and quality sessions and enforce all safety policies and regulations
• Resolve team conflicts and issue documented disciplinary actions or recognition
• Set measurable goals for continuous improvement within the department

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• 3 years of production experience in a manufacturing plant
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity (or 4 years as a production Lead)
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods in various environments (dusty, noisy, hot, or cold)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in bakery or food/beverage manufacturing
• Experience with regulatory inspections (AIB, OSHA, Health Dept, etc.)
• Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing, 5's, or Six Sigma
• Experience using SAP or ADP-Time and Attendance
