Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the manufacture of building products to meet production demands while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental responsibility
• Enforce adherence to safety, quality, and operational process standards
• Develop and manage shift schedules to ensure optimal staffing and workflow
• Hire, supervise, evaluate, and replace staff as required to meet performance objectives
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and conversion cost reduction
• Provide technical leadership and training in areas such as line setup, troubleshooting, and machine metrics
• Assign personnel to extrusion lines and oversee area rotations and break schedules
• Complete or oversee paperwork relative to line operation, operator logs, and audits
• Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action to employees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, Management, Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of three years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in sheet extrusion or fenestration strongly preferred
• Proficient in 5S principles and quality standards
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills
• Proficient in use of calipers and other measuring devices
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of PVC resin/compound blending
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills
