Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the manufacture of building products to meet production demands while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity
• Develop and implement staffing guidelines to maximize human resource utilization and control manpower costs
• Hire, supervise, evaluate, and train employees to prepare them for increasing responsibilities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, conversion cost reduction, and COPQ reduction
• Assign personnel to extrusion lines or production areas and oversee rotations and break schedules
• Complete or oversee paperwork relative to line operation, including operator logs, PM logs, audits, and corrective actions
• Respond to short-notice production or shipping needs
• Administer company policies in a fair and consistent manner
• Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action to associates

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of three years of supervisory and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, mentor, and train associates
