Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Facilitate day-to-day operations of building products to meet production demands
• Supervise, direct, advise, and train manufacturing team members
• Hire, evaluate, and manage staff to ensure performance objectives are met
• Implement staffing guidelines to maximize human resource utilization
• Train personnel in tooling, troubleshooting, machine set-up, and safety procedures
• Oversee line rotations and break schedules during the second shift
• Complete paperwork relative to line operation, operator logs, and audits
• Identify and assist with continuous process improvement and 5S implementation

Requirements

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in sheet extrusion or fenestration strongly preferred
• Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring devices
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills
• Ability to educate and train non-degreed operators and technicians
• Knowledge of work orders, schedules, and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency in 5S
• Glass industry experience
