Production Supervisor, Composites

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of highly qualified technicians to ensure clarity and accountability
• Manage daily tactical and weekly strategic objectives for production work cells
• Track team output against delivery objectives and manage capacity planning
• Drive improvement projects to decrease touch-time, improve quality, or reduce safety risk
• Drive basic preventive maintenance across the facility
• Ensure team training and conformance to health and safety policies
• Oversee training for composite technicians and knowledge transfer from New Zealand programs
• Transfer manufacturing technologies from New Zealand to Maryland

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 5+ years of experience as an operating technician in technical environments
• 1+ year of team leadership experience in a production environment
• Experience with operations management and daily scheduling
• Experience with apprentice-style training programs
• Willingness to work weekend shifts (Friday – Sunday, 3 x 12's)
• Ability to stand, climb ladders, bend, and lift up to 25lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• A&P License or Composites Technical Apprenticeship
• Experience in fast-paced production or test facilities
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings
• Knowledge of safety processes and handling hazardous materials
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/MES software
