Production Supervisor - Composites

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations within the Composites Department, including layup, autoclave processing, molding, and assembly.
• Coordinate and assign work orders to optimize workforce efficiency and meet production targets and delivery schedules.
• Provide hands-on leadership, ensuring proper training, adherence to work instructions, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Review blueprints, travelers, and technical documentation to confirm part requirements and process flow.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to troubleshoot process issues and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and waste reduction.
• Monitor key performance indicators including quality, efficiency, and scrap/rework rates.
• Support employee performance evaluations, hiring, coaching, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace or a regulated environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role overseeing production personnel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production shop floor environment, including clean room settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Direct experience with composites manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Infor preferred).
