Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise hourly production employees across multiple lines or work cells on the 2nd shift.
• Own daily execution of production plans, staffing alignment, and shift readiness activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, conduct safety talks, and lead responses to safety concerns.
• Drive quality at the source by ensuring standard work compliance and proactive quality assurance.
• Monitor shift performance using KPIs such as production output, scrap, First Pass Yield, and downtime.
• Execute real-time problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for production or equipment issues.
• Manage accurate floor-level transactions in the ERP/MRP system, including labor reporting and inventory movements.
• Coach, train, and develop employees through performance feedback and cross-training.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and waste elimination.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a Lead, Trainer, or Supervisory role.
• Experience leading production teams in fabrication, welding, assembly, or engineered-to-order environments.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and standard work.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for shop floor transactions.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
• Experience leading mid-size manufacturing operations with 20–40 direct reports.
• Familiarity with OEE, MES dashboards, or real-time production performance tracking.
• MACPAC/AS400 experience.
