Production Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations at a hydrogen and nitrogen site, including Steam Methane Reformers, to ensure safe and reliable performance.
• Train facility technicians, implement safety programs, and meet cost commitments while maintaining compliance with quality systems and governmental regulations.
• Monitor unit operations, compressors, and supporting equipment to supply products safely and prevent unscheduled shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot plant processes and equipment problems and implement effective solutions.
• Write and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standard maintenance procedures (SMPs) to strengthen operational consistency.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and drive optimization initiatives for safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Maintain QA programs and facilitate customer and corporate audits.
• Manage technician work hours, evaluate direct reports, and communicate effectively with maintenance teams and facility leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in operations or refining environments.
• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Experience in operations or refining.
• Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Knowledge of EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to train and develop technical staff.
