Production Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and maintain weekly production sequencing schedules for the packaging operation to maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Planners, Inventory Managers, and Shift Assistants to address work order gaps and material availability.
• Review daily work orders and adjust production sequencing based on tooling allocation and efficiency.
• Track custom orders and new SKUs to ensure timely delivery and optimal line placement.
• Partner with the PED team to update and clarify standard work instructions and SKU documentation.
• Conduct daily safety walks to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Support production by scheduling attainable weekly deliveries in alignment with attainment goals.
• Train Shift Assistants and Supervisors on scheduling functions, sequencing, and performance metrics.
• Identify production needs for bulk and packaging materials and coordinate movement through the S6 process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2-4 years of experience in production planning.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team-based environment.
• Knowledge of general safety policies and processes.
• Ability to work onsite at the Charlotte, NC facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or JDE (JD Edwards) / other ERP applications.
• Experience using Alteryx software for productivity systems and process monitoring.
