About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and maintain weekly production sequencing schedules for the packaging operation to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Planners, Inventory Managers, and Shift Assistants to address work order gaps and material availability.
- Review daily work orders and adjust production sequencing based on tooling allocation and efficiency.
- Track custom orders and new SKUs to ensure timely delivery and optimal line placement.
- Partner with the PED team to update and clarify standard work instructions and SKU documentation.
- Conduct daily safety walks to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Support production by scheduling attainable weekly deliveries in alignment with attainment goals.
- Train Shift Assistants and Supervisors on scheduling functions, sequencing, and performance metrics.
- Identify production needs for bulk and packaging materials and coordinate movement through the S6 process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2-4 years of experience in production planning.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team-based environment.
- Knowledge of general safety policies and processes.
- Ability to work onsite at the Charlotte, NC facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or JDE (JD Edwards) / other ERP applications.
- Experience using Alteryx software for productivity systems and process monitoring.
