Production Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees in the continuous operation of the plant’s production activities
• Ensure quality and productivity by monitoring mechanical, visual, and informational system checks
• Review shift operations and recommend improvements for service, quality, safety, and productivity
• Ensure work group members are adequately trained on department procedures
• Monitor control charts and review process shifts with key personnel

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills for coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
• Ability to delegate assignments and monitor throughput, quality, and safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience, ideally in a union facility
• Previous experience in the glass industry
