About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to support daily production requirements and operational stability
- Drive a strong safety culture through floor presence, hazard identification, and adherence to safety processes
- Coach and lead team members and group leaders to improve engagement, accountability, and performance
- Respond to production, quality, and people issues in real time
- Support quality execution through audits, defect reviews, and corrective action follow-up
- Monitor key performance indicators and take action to address gaps in safety, quality, and cost
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, quality, maintenance, and HR to resolve issues
- Manage staffing, attendance, overtime, and team communication processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-accountability production setting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
- Proven problem-solving ability with a focus on root cause identification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard manufacturing business systems
- Ability to work off-shift, weekends, and overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing
- Experience with standardized work, layered audits, and continuous improvement systems
- Experience leading quality containment and defect reduction processes
- Familiarity with labor relations practices and workforce planning
- Demonstrated success in developing people and leading through change
