Production Shift Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly talent in Body, Paint, or General Assembly
• Manage safety, productivity, quality, throughput, and cost for your department
• Support, mentor, and motivate the workforce to maintain high performance standards
• Coordinate across multiple departments to meet business objectives and plant operations
• Analyze and solve complex manufacturing problems using data-driven decisions
• Administer corporate and site policies while ensuring compliance with labor agreements
• Utilize workplace safety systems to achieve safety metrics and maintain an organized environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an Automotive Assembly Plant (OEM preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Proven leadership or management experience (UAW, Salaried, or Skilled Trades)
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes (CIP)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
• Ability to work any shift as required by production needs

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in an Automotive Assembly Plant
• Experience or knowledge of the GM Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
• Direct production experience within Body, Paint, or General Assembly
• Experience applying GMS and quality processes to meet BIQ IV requirements
