About the role
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue goals
- Price accounts with competitive terms in accordance with guidelines
- Manage quote related communication with brokers
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to understand complex account exposures
- Provide market feedback to improve terms, rates, and guidelines
- Bind accounts through continuous engagement of assigned brokers
- Represent Counterpart at broker meetings and industry events
- Contribute feedback on product roadmap and tools
Requirements
- 3-8 years of underwriting experience in management or professional liability
- Existing network of brokers, carriers, or underwriters in the specialty liability space
- Expertise in rating procedures, policy forms, and coverage endorsements
- Proven track record of achieving sales and account management targets
- Ability to travel at least once per month
- College Degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience
