Production Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspection and final verification of flight hardware against drawings, process specifications, and work order requirements
• Identify, document, and verify the resolution of production and test non-conformances
• Interface with engineering and production teams to communicate and resolve nonconforming issues
• Independently perform inspections and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner
• Support quality management system policies and lead continual improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment
• Substantial knowledge of nonconforming hardware control, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and CAD models
• Experience performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices and lab equipment (microscopes, scopes, etc.)
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems
• Experience inspecting solder, crimping, or surface mounted devices per IPC-J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 standards
• Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards
• Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
