About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspection and final verification of flight hardware against drawings, process specifications, and work order requirements
- Identify, document, and verify the resolution of production and test non-conformances
- Interface with engineering and production teams to communicate and resolve nonconforming issues
- Independently perform inspections and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner
- Support quality management system policies and lead continual improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment
- Substantial knowledge of nonconforming hardware control, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and CAD models
- Experience performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices and lab equipment (microscopes, scopes, etc.)
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems
- Experience inspecting solder, crimping, or surface mounted devices per IPC-J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 standards
- Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards
- Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
