About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the planning staff, providing daily direction and workload balancing.
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales to resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust plans.
  • Track execution against production plans and lead problem-solving efforts for disruptions or shortages.
  • Analyze planning data, including schedule adherence and lead times, to prepare performance reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Act as the primary planning contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, prioritize competing tasks, and communicate effectively across functions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising planners or scheduling teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles.
  • Experience working in regulated or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced experience with ERP or planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MES.
