Production Planning Model Derivation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain simplified production planning models derived from detailed process simulations to ensure operational accuracy.
• Apply statistical and data-driven techniques, such as Design of Experiments and regression modelling, to generate robust models.
• Use data analysis tools to evaluate input relationships, validate outputs, and ensure overall model quality.
• Support the build and deployment of new models for manufacturing facilities and various improvement projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and planning to troubleshoot and improve model performance.
• Follow established modelling standards, methodologies, and documentation practices to ensure consistency.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of relevant experience in process engineering, modelling, data analysis, or production planning.
• Fundamental understanding of chemical process principles, mass and energy balances, and plant operations.
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data modelling techniques such as regression and Design of Experiments.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as JMP, Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Ability to work in a structured environment following technical standards and documentation practices.
