About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing.
- Create work packages and manage capacity to maximize throughput and demand alignment.
- Adjust schedules in response to material shortages, machine downtime, or operational disruptions.
- Analyze production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to reduce idle time.
- Partner with Material Planners, Purchasing, and Inventory teams to ensure raw material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and support cycle count activities to maintain accuracy.
- Communicate schedule updates and priorities to production supervisors, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Track schedule adherence and generate KPI reports and dashboards to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Spend a majority of time in the lab/operations environment to ensure schedules are met.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or Operations Management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, manufacturing, or supply chain.
- Eligibility for CGP and CSP security clearance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or JD Edwards).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and forecasting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scheduling and capacity planning tools.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions under pressure in a manufacturing environment.
