Production Planner II

Responsibilities

• Execute MRP within an SAP environment to maintain mid and long-term production plans
• Establish and maintain finite production schedules to ensure optimal workflow for the Richmond Chemical Plant
• Monitor daily exceptions, analyze data, and resolve routine and non-routine production issues
• Analyze inventory movement and trends to identify safety stocks, optimum batch sizes, and process capacity
• Manage and disposition excess and obsolete materials
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global, multi-tiered matrix organization to meet manufacturing KPIs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Supply Management, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in Planning and Scheduling within a LEAN Manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of Routings and Bills of Material (BOM)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Office suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to anticipate potential production issues

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS CPIM certification
• Experience with Continuous Improvement processes or projects
