About the role
Responsibilities
- Review sales orders and contract reviews to create shop orders for shortage reviews
- Create and submit material requisitions for procurement
- Monitor material receipts and inventory levels to resolve kitting and production conflicts
- Update production schedules and communicate changes to relevant teams
- Review engineering change orders and coordinate with line leads and stockroom personnel for documentation updates
- Analyze expiration dates of consumable products and issue requisitions to replenish safety stock
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning processes
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in materials handling or planning
- Experience in materials planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management principles
- U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Experience with materials planning software and ERP systems
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
