Production Planner I

Responsibilities

• Review sales orders and contract reviews to create shop orders for shortage reviews
• Create and submit material requisitions for procurement
• Monitor material receipts and inventory levels to resolve kitting and production conflicts
• Update production schedules and communicate changes to relevant teams
• Review engineering change orders and coordinate with line leads and stockroom personnel for documentation updates
• Analyze expiration dates of consumable products and issue requisitions to replenish safety stock
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning processes

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in materials handling or planning
• Experience in materials planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management principles
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status)
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• Experience with materials planning software and ERP systems
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
