About the role
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the master production plan by coordinating forecasting, production scheduling, and plant operations.
- Interface with cross-functional departments to meet customer demands and advise on potential delays or issues.
- Analyze manufacturing capacity constraints to determine opportunities for smoothing the production plan.
- Maintain accurate Routing and BOM data to assist in permanent data correction.
- Monitor order flow throughout the shop and adjust schedules and routings to meet delivery deadlines.
- Manage open-order reports and communicate schedule changes to all interested parties.
- Assemble and deliver job packets to designated value streams and close job orders daily.
- Support weekly and monthly cycle count goals and adjust scrap for raw materials.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in production planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis technologies.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across various departments.
- Strong sense of urgency, troubleshooting skills, and the flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with Syteline ERP.
- Background in custom order or precision components manufacturing.
- Experience working within Lean, Total Quality Management, or Six Sigma environments.
- Comprehensive end-to-end supply chain knowledge.
