Production Planner

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans and line-ups based on demand, customer orders, and business priorities.
• Sequence production orders by considering plant capacity, material availability, setup times, and operational constraints.
• Direct production programs by monitoring workflow, inventory levels, capacity constraints, and machinery failures to ensure operational excellence.
• Analyze and resolve production scheduling issues such as bottlenecks and capacity efficiency to optimize planning.
• Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) objectives are met while minimizing delays and obsolete inventory.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including plan adherence, WIP, lead time, and capacity utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product issues and incorporate customer requirements.
• Update plant metric boards and participate in daily support team meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain or production environments.
• Proficiency in using MRP systems.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Office 365, specifically Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, basic functions, and reporting).
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis using tools like Pareto or Fishbone diagrams.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
