Production Planner

Responsibilities

• Transform customer requirements into engineering and production plans to ensure successful execution.
• Prepare and plan production schedules to coordinate the movement of parts and products through various operations.
• Develop and maintain inventory strategies to minimize stock levels while maximizing flexibility for customer demand.
• Optimize production schedules through effective planning and level loading based on workload and manpower availability.
• Coordinate timelines and resource requirements for all projects and first-time production runs.
• Deliver and negotiate master production schedules to ensure achievability.
• Work closely with sales and materials groups to align orders with resource availability.
• Monitor customer output against forecasts and work with stakeholders to drive forecast completion.
• Address logistics exceptions and act as the primary internal and external communicator regarding delivery impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in production planning or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of production scheduling and resource coordination.
• Proven ability in inventory strategy development.
• Ability to work independently and exercise high-level judgment and discretion.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in quality management methods, such as Lean Six Sigma.
