About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage short- and mid-range production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets
  • Translate demand forecasts and sales orders into executable production plans considering capacity, labor, and material constraints
  • Monitor and adjust schedules based on changes in demand, material availability, or equipment downtime
  • Collaborate with procurement and materials management to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
  • Review work orders and ensure accurate data entry in ERP/MRP systems
  • Analyze production performance metrics such as schedule adherence, lead time, and capacity utilization
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to support product launches and process improvements
  • Identify and communicate potential production bottlenecks or risks and propose mitigation plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field OR 2–4 years of experience in production planning or materials management
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
  • Strong understanding of production planning principles, capacity management, and material flow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP)
