Production Planner

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production planning, methods, and scheduling operations at the Service Center
• Develop, maintain, and execute a Production Master Schedule using the company ERP system
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and materials within the ERP system
• Oversee production order documentation accuracy from implementation through final closing
• Coordinate outside sub-contract work, including processing purchase orders and expediting deliveries
• Manage incoming and outgoing shipment processes, including administrative and physical handling
• Monitor and balance direct labor hours to payroll and provide month-end labor absorption reporting
• Coordinate procurement of specialized equipment and services to meet production schedules
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure crating, packaging, and freight requirements are met
• Develop standard operating procedures and maintain preventive maintenance logs for production tools

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to interpret detailed part and fabrication drawings
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial or Manufacturing degree
• Background in machinist, welding, assembly, or sheet metal fabrication
• Experience with advanced shop mathematics
